My professional experience began in sales, but soon grew well beyond it. Over nearly ten years in CRM and MarTech, I have worked on product development, built teams and partnerships, and managed client relationships and commercial results. At Sailplay, I worked my way up to leading the entire commercial function, working with hundreds of companies — from growing businesses to the largest players in the market.
At Sailplay / Retail Rocket, I had commercial responsibility for a portfolio of 350 active paying clients.
Today, I am responsible for business development at an international technology company in Russia and the CIS, continuing to work on large CRM, CDP and marketing automation projects. What has always interested me, though, is not implementing technology for its own sake, but its actual impact on the business.
After more than a hundred projects, I keep returning to one conclusion: technology is rarely the starting point of a good solution.
Before discussing platforms, integrations and budgets, it is important to understand the challenge itself. How do the processes work? What data is already available? What is holding the business back? And does solving the problem really require a new system?
I try to look at these questions from commercial, product and technology perspectives at the same time. Rather than simply suggesting a tool, I want to understand which changes will deliver measurable results and what they will cost.
That is why a good consultation does not always end with a recommendation to implement a solution
